Performance

The 2017 Wrangler Unlimited is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that makes 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, with a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds when you add the Trailer Tow Package. It comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, and is available with a 5-speed automatic. This Jeep model has a body-on-frame structure and comes with standard four-wheel drive.

With Trail Rated Capability, a Rock-Trac 4X4 System, and Tru-Lok Locking Differentials, the Wrangler Unlimited has been rated the 4X4 of the Decade by Fourwheeler Magazine and is the Most Capable Open-Air 4X4 Vehicle on the Market, as no other vehicle in its category offers a low range ratio. The Wrangler Unlimited also features Dana 44 Heavy-Duty Solid Axles, Front Sway Bar Disconnect System, and Tunable Monotube Shock Absorbers.

Interior and Features

The Wrangler Unlimited has interior and exterior features that stay
true to its utilitarian roots, but with a touch of modern luxury. It’s available in four trims – Sport, Sport RHD, Sahara, and Rubicon – so talk to your McGovern CDJR representative about which will suit your needs. The 2017 Wrangler Unlimited features a well illuminated interior for those nights out in the country, as well as robust interior stitching, substantial bezels and knobs, weather-resistant surfaces, and available heated seats.

Because the Wrangler Unlimited is the quintessential Jeep, it comes with removable doors and a fold- down windshield so you can feel the full driving experience – and there’s nothing better than driving through Cape Cod with the wind in your hair. Combine that with a 9-speaker Alpine Premium Sound System, and you’ve got the ultimate summer ride. Additionally, you have the option between the Sunride Soft Top, which folds back, or the Freedom Top Hard Top that comes in an easily removable three-piece modular design.

Safety and Tech

For safety’s sake, the Wrangler Unlimited is equipped with an advanced multi-stage airbag system and supplemental front seat-mounted side air bags. It also features Electronic Stability Control, Energy- Absorbing Front-Rail Extensions, Sentry Key Engine Immobilizer, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Sway Control, and an Enhanced Accident Response System. Additionally, it has LED headlamps and LED fog lights for ultimate visibility.
