The Jeep Wrangler base trim is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with four-wheel drive that generates 285-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 2-door model earns an EPA-estimated 25 mpg highway and 17 mpg city with a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. A 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine paired with 8-speed automatic transmission with 270-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque is optional. Two- and four-door body styles are available. Three different 4x4 systems have been designed consisting of the standard Command-Trac® part-time 4WD, the available Selec-Trac® full-time 4WD, and Rock-Trac® for exceptional off-road performance.

Equipped with over 75 standard and available safety and security features, the 2019 Jeep Wrangler provides added safety with the standard advanced brake assist, electronic roll mitigation, electronic stability control, hill start assist, traction control, trailer sway damping, ParkView® rear backup camera, and an advanced multistage front airbag system. Full-speed forward collision with active braking, adaptive cruise control with full stop, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic detection, and ParkSense® rear park assist system are optional.
