Performance

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler has two base engines. The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with a 6-speed manual transmission has 285 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. It is good for 17 MPG city and 23 MPG highway.  This also has an automatic transmission option which increases those estimates to 18 MPG city and 23 MPG highway. An optional engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged which produces 270 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine has better fuel economy with 23 MPG city and 25 MPG highway. This engine requires premium fuel, but with the better gas mileage, should save the driver about $200/year.

Different trims for the 2019 Wrangler offer upgrades and add-ons. The Rubicon swaps in heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles, electronic locking diffs, and an electronic sway bar. To improve the off-road experience, it also adds upgraded Rock-Trac part-time 4WD, all-terrain tires, rock rails, and optional winch-capable bumpers. All trims can be optioned to include a tow package and a 3-piece modular hardtop.

Safety

In addition to the suite of performance features on the 2019 Jeep Wrangler, all trims besides the Sport have optional safety packages, the Active Safety Group, Advance Safety Group, and Cold Weather Group. The Active Safety Group provides rear parking sensors, LED headlights, and a blind spot monitoring system. The Advance Safety Group has all of those, plus adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. These help to maintain a safe distance whether cruising or coming to an unexpected stop by applying pressure to the brakes as needed. The Cold Weather Group features heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler combines performance and safety to give the driver the freedom they need to explore and enjoy their ride, all while having the safety features to keep the car on the road.
