Technology & Safety

2019 Ram 1500

The 2019 Ram 1500 will use the 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 that was used in last year's model but will now be optioned with the eTorque hybridization system, which will be great for drivers looking to save a little with better gas mileage and also get an additional torque boost. The Ram also has a suite of safety features to pair with the increased engine and transmission performance.

Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path is great for truck drivers. It senses when other vehicles are driving in the trucks blinds spots and helps ensure the truck maneuvers safely. On top of that, it uses Trailer Detection which will adjust the blind spot scan to not only sense in the trucks blind spots but where the trailer creates blind spots as well. Lane Departure Warning-Plus will provide an alert to prevent lane drifting unintentionally.  Guided Parking lets the truck park itself by giving directions of gear position, accelerator, and brake pressure and can even auto control the steering if desired.

2019 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 has available Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, with Side Blind Zone Alert. This will keep the truck driver from unintentionally drifting across lanes and will alert them if there is another car in their blind spot transitioning lanes. On some models, the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 has IntelliBeam Headlamps which will turn on the truck's high beams. When it senses headlights or taillights in front, it will automatically switch back to low beams.
