The 2018 Durango has five trims to allow for greater variability: the SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, and the all-new SRT. The standard powertrain is a 3.6-liter V6 engine equipped with a single or dual exhaust, generating upwards of 295 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. The base model is rear-wheel drive with the optional upgrade to all-wheel drive.

For the adventurous types, there is another powertrain available! The optional 5.7-liter V8 engine, creates a heart pounding 360 horsepower with 390 lb-ft of torque. This engine come standard with all-wheel drive and a mighty 7,400-pound towing capacity. For those who are even more adventurous, Dodge has the brand new SRT model available. The Durango SRT comes equipped with a monster 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine creating 475 horsepower with 470 lb-ft of torque, and a tremendous 8,600-pound towing capacity, which is the best in its class. Each engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. 


The 2018 Durango has a multitude of entertainment features that only add to outstanding driver experience. These include a standard Uconnect 5.0 infotainment system.  The Uconnect infotainment system includes boosted by a 6-speaker audio system, and two 12-volt outlets to more versatility to the entertainment options. There are additional upgrades that can be made to the outstanding entertainment experience. These include Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Traffic, and Travel Link. Additional upgrades including Alpine or BeatsAudio premium sound systems, and navigation. There is a Premium Group which is a package of upgrades including a Navigation system, black roof rails, power sunroof, power liftgate, and the previously mentioned BeatsAudio Premium Sound System.

For the passengers in the back seats, more options are available for upgrade. The Blu-ray/DVD Rear Entertainment System, which features dual seatback-mounted screens with ports for video games and mobile devices. This is perfect for long rides in the car and will further enhance the overall trip experience by providing comfort and entertainment from the driveway to the destination. 


Safety is a large factor in any car buying experience and the 2018 Durango comes equipped with a great array of safety features. Active Head Restraints, Electronic Stability Control, Keyless Enter 'N Go, Rain Brake Support, and Hill Start assist will work to provide a smoother and safer ride. The Durango has a Blind Spot Monitoring System, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Rear Cross-Path Detection, LanseSense Lane Departure Warning, a rearview camera, and parking assistance. The Durango holds nothing back when it comes to overall comfort, entertainment, and safety.
