Performance and Capability

The 2018 Renegade trims include Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. All trims are available as 4X4 or front-wheel drive models, except the Trailhawk which is 4X4 only.

The compact SUV’s base engine is a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged inline-4 with a 6-speed manual transmission. It makes 160 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with Hill Start Assist and Trailer Sway Damping, and the Altitude FWD model can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

The Renegade is also available with a 2.4-liter inline-4 M-Air Engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. All 4X4 models can tow up to 2,000 pounds and have the Selec-Terrain System. The Trail-Rated Trailhawk is outfitted with two front tow hooks, one rear tow hook, skid plates, Hill Descent Control, and Selec-Terrain System with Rock Mode.

Comfort and Convenience

Standard features on the 2018 Renegade include driver-seat height adjuster, a front-passenger fold-forward seat with soft back, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, cargo tie-down loops, Driver Assist Handle, a height-adjustable rear cargo floor, and a day/night rearview mirror.

The Latitude trim adds LED ambient interior lighting, dual-zone automatic temperature control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote USB port. Available interior features include heated front seats, power seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a heated steering wheel.

Entertainment and Technology

Standard entertainment and connectivity features include 6-speaker audio, Bluetooth with integrated voice command, and Uconnect 3 with a 5-inch display. The Latitude trim adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM Radio, and Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch display.

Upper trims feature the Beats Premium Audio System, GPS Antenna Input, HD Radio, Sirius Traffic and Travel, and the option between Uconnect 4C Nav with 8.4-inch display, Uconnect 7.0 Group, and Uconnect 8.4 NAV Group.

All models feature Electronic Roll Mitigation, Electronic Stability Control, Panic Brake Assist, and the ParkView Rear Back Up Camera. Options include Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Passive Entry/Keyless Go, and a Remote Start System.
