Review: 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Safety and Tech

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica earned a best-possible 5-Star Overall Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Additionally, this generation of the Pacifica has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Each model – including the L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited – comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path Detection, ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist with Stop, ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera, and illuminated entry. Available safety features include Forward Collision Warning Plus, LaneSense Lane Departure Warning Plus, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, and Surround-View Camera.

Comfort and Convenience

The Pacifica is a three-row minivan that seats up to 8 passengers. Standard seating is premium cloth, but you have the option to upgrade with perforated leather, premium leather, or Nappa leather trim, as well as heated and ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats. Models come standard with a second-row deluxe bench seat with third-row Stow ‘n Go, and optional with second-row Stow ‘n Go bucket seats, an Easy Entry sliding second row, and Auto Advance ‘n Return seat memory. 

The 2018 Pacifica comes standard with manual temperature control and optional with three-zone manual temperature control. Other available features include a Remote Start System, Super Console storage, Stow ‘n Vac in-car vacuum, Universal Garage Door Opener, and power-adjustable rear seating.

All models have a Uconnect 4 infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen display, Integrated Voice Command, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. You also have the option for Sirius XM Radio, and a 20-speaker Harman Kardon Sound Group and Uconnect Theater with Wireless Streaming Package.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The new Chrysler minivan is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is 18 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.
